Introduction
My journey at CHG Healthcare started as an intern in the web product marketing department. As I transitioned to a full-time UX Designer, I had the privilege of contributing to the transformation of the company’s overall digital landscape. From site brand refreshes to optimizing job boards and landing pages, my role allowed me to make meaningful changes that elevated the overall user experience across all of CHG Healthcare and its company portfolio.
Throughout these experiences, I had the privilege of collaborating with talented individuals, including product managers, developers, creative directors, copywriters, graphic designers, and other various stakeholders, as we worked together on projects to enhance the digital experience for our users. Throughout this process, I gained invaluable experience navigating cross-functional teams and shaping digital experiences that resonated with our users. This journey cemented my passion for UX design and my commitment to user-centric solutions that drive real business value.

Site Brand Refreshes
Revamping websites for CHG Healthcare’s diverse children companies became a central focus during my tenure. Collaborating closely with talented teams, I spearheaded homepage overhauls, streamlined job boards, and revitalized resource pages. Throughout, I ensured each design aligned seamlessly with the company’s ethos, fostering trust and engagement with our audience.
But it wasn’t just about aesthetics. Recognizing the importance of impact, I championed the development of style guides and component libraries. These established a foundation for consistency and cohesion across all platforms, boosting efficiency and delivering a unified user experience. This empowered users to navigate effortlessly between brands, fostering a sense of familiarity and trust.
While these refreshes highlight my core contributions, I also tackled a range of marketing projects for each platform, including landing pages, emails, data updates, and contact forms, and much more.

CHG Healthcare
As lead UX Designer, I spearheaded the CHG Healthcare website redesign, crafting a user-centric experience for hospitals and clients seeking top-tier traveling doctors. Distinct sections were meticulously crafted to resonate with their diverse needs, from intuitive Staffing Solutions pages featuring the various workforce solutions to “About Us” showcasing our partnership values. I led the design for a dedicated Careers and Job Openings interface, seamlessly integrating a user-friendly job board for efficient talent acquisition. Through thoughtful design choices and unwavering focus on accessibility and engagement, I fostered meaningful connections between healthcare providers and qualified physicians, elevating the CHG Healthcare web experience into a powerful partnership platform. CompHealth
I spearheaded the site refresh of CompHealth, CHG’s largest platform for traveling doctor staffing, which also happened to be the first traveling doctors staffing agency in the United States. This included designing and building a “Google Search” workflow to let doctors find jobs to match their specialty right from the homepage. User research, competitor analysis, and close collaboration with the marketing team informed a modern, user-friendly design that elevated both visual appeal and user experience. While retaining key brand elements like the logo and “CH Purple,” I rebuilt the site to reflect a refreshed brand identity, fostering a seamless and engaging experience for healthcare providers seeking top-tier talent. Weatherby Healthcare
Weatherby Healthcare’s original marketing site was plagued by what the development team called the “Weatherby Tax,” which was simply a developer’s nightmare of inefficient code and inconsistent brand elements that made updates a time-consuming struggle. Determined to modernize the interface while preserving the brand identity, I led a user-centered redesign with a focus on cutting out the “Weatherby Tax.” Establishing consistent page styles was paramount, not only unifying the user experience but also eradicating the notorious tax. The results were substantial: not only did the new component library and streamlined UI save development time, but it also slashed lines of code per page by a remarkable 30%. This optimization not only boosted site performance, but also contributed to a significant uptick in conversions, showcasing the tangible benefits of our strategic design efforts. Full case study

Global Medical Staffing
At Global Medical Staffing (GMS), I had the privilege to contribute to a total brand redesign that showcased its unique focus on offering job opportunities internationally. GMS stands out as one of the few medical staffing agencies dedicated to global placements, emphasizing a wanderlust appeal. In this project, we meticulously crafted brand elements and textures to accentuate this globetrotting ethos. Additionally, we introduced destination sections on the website to spotlight job offerings across the globe, including sought-after locations such as the United States, Asia, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East/Africa, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, and the United Kingdom. These enhancements not only elevated the visual identity of GMS but also provided a seamless and immersive user experience, reinforcing its position as a premier choice for healthcare professionals seeking international opportunities.

RNnetwork
At RNnetwork, I joined the team during the rollout of a new brand and site refresh. This company stands out as it exclusively focuses on travel nurses, giving it a lighter and happier brand identity compared to physician-based companies. I played a key role in implementing updates to enhance user experience, including building custom search workflows during the Covid-19 pandemic to help nurses find critical positions quickly. I also developed a filtering system on the job board and made updates to job postings to highlight key details, streamlining the application process. These improvements aimed to optimize functionality and usability for nurses and healthcare facilities alike.
Conclusion
My journey from intern to a key player in the UX design team at CHG Healthcare was a remarkable one. The work on site brand refreshes, job boards, landing pages, blogs, and marketing pages not only enhanced the visual appeal of the digital assets but also contributed to a more user-centric and effective online presence for CHG Healthcare and its associated brands. I take pride in playing a role in shaping the digital experience for both our clients and the healthcare professionals we serve.
My contributions significantly elevated the digital presence of CHG Healthcare and its affiliated companies. The site brand refreshes resulted in increased user engagement, reduced bounce rates, and improved conversion metrics. The cohesive design language implemented across multiple brands reinforced CHG Healthcare’s position as a leader in the healthcare staffing industry.
